You are aware that the Government of Andhra Pradesh is committed for Welfare and Development of all segments of the Society and has been implementing "Navarathnalu" comprising of various welfare and developmental programmes. As part of the Navarathnalu, enhancement of pension amount and reduction in the age criteria for old age pension is a major welfare measure to ameliorate the hardships of the poor and vulnerable sections of the society particularly the old and infirm, widows, and persons with disability to secure a dignified life.

2. The Hon'ble CM has promised to reduce the old age pension from 65 to 60 years age and enhance the pension amount up to Rs.3,000/- in a phased manner. Accordingly, in GO.Ms.No.103, PR & RD (RD.1) Department, Dated:30.05.2019, orders were issued reducing the age for Old Age Pensioners (OAP) from 65 to 60 years and enhancing the pension amount from Rs.2,000/- to Rs.2,250/- . Now, as a part of fulfilment of the promise, the Government has decided to enhance the YSR Pension Kanuka amount from Rs.2250/- to Rs.2500/- to Old Age Pension (OAP), Widow, Weavers, Toddy Tappers, Fishermen, Single Women, Traditional Cobblers and PLHIV (ART) Pensions from the month of December,2021 and disburse the enhanced pension amount on 1 January,2022.

3 The Government has also decided to release 1,41,562 new pensions in all categories and pension amount to be disbursed on 1st January,2022.

4 On this occasion, Government has decided to organize and celebrate YSR Pension Kanuka Pension Enhancement programme and organize the celebrations from 1st January, 2022 to 5" January, 2022 (5 days) in the entire state in befitting manner.

5. The indicative programme details for Launching of the YSR Pension Kanuka Enhancement of Pension and activities to be taken up from 1 January,2022 to 5 January,2022 are as detailed below.-

I.  State Level Launching Programme on 1" January, 2022
  • The Hon'ble Chief Minister will launch the Pension Enhancement programme on 01.01.2022 at 11.00 AM in Pedanandipadu Mandal, Guntur district.
  • The Hon'ble Chief Minister will distribute the enhanced pension amount to Pensioners as a token of enhancement of pension to Rs.2500/- and release the Posters.
  • The District Collector, Guntur shall make all necessary arrangements for launching of the Programme in Pedanandipadu Mandal, Guntur.
  • The Commissioner, I& PR shall make all necessary arrangements for live telecast of the launching programme of the Hon'ble Chief Minister.
II.  District Level Launching Programme from 1 January 2022 to 5 January, 2022 (6 days) 
On 1st January,2022:

  • At the district level, Hon'ble In-Charge District Ministers/ Hon'ble District Ministers will formally launch the programme on 1s" January, 2022.
  • The District Collectors shall make necessary arrangements in the venue for live telecast of the Hon'ble Chief Minister launching Programme.
  • Live telecast arrangements shall be made in all Rythu Bhorasa Kendras, Village &Ward Secretariats in the State. Attendance of the pensioners should be ensured duly following the COVID-19 norms.
  • After launching of the programme by the Hon'ble Chief Minister at State level, at District level enhanced pension cash and Hon'ble Chief Ministers letters will be distributed to the pensioners by the Chief Guests.
III Village Ward Level Celebrations from 1" January, 2022 to 5 January, 2022 (5 days)
  • Hon'ble MLAs and other public representatives shall visit the villages during the 5 days to celebrate the occasions and create awareness to pensioners in all the villages/Wards. Distribution of Hon'ble Chief Minister message letter to all the YSR Pension Kanuka beneficiaries and explain about the programme.
  • The sanction orders, Pension Cards and HCM letters shall also be distributed to the newly sanctioned pensioners.
  • The MPDOs & Municipal Commissioners shall make necessary arrangements for the Hon'ble MLAs visit during the 5 days.
  • The MPDOs/Tahsildars and Mandal level functionaries shall attend the village level programmes.
  • YSR Pension Kanuka Posters should be displayed in all the Mandal Praja Parishad offices, Municipal Offices, Village & Ward Secretariats and prominent places in the Village and wards.
  • Pension amount shall be disbursed by the Village Ward Volunteers from 01.01.2022 afternoon at the doorsteps of the pensioners duly obtaining Aadhar authentication/RBIS as usual along with Hon'ble Chief Minister's letters.
5. All the at District District Collectors are therefore requested to make all necessary arrangements  level programme on 15 January, 2022. 
They are also requested to issue necessary instructions to all the MPDOS and Municipal Commissioners and ensure that the programme will be organized in a befitting manner in all villages and wards in the entire state as per schedule.

The Chief Executive Officer, SERP, MD, MEPMA, and the Director, GSwS Department are requested to take further action accordingly in coordination with all concerned officials and ensure that the Programme be organized in a successful manner.
