MA & UD Department - CDMA - Constitution of Ward Secretariats in all Urban Local Bodies in the State Revised Job Chart of Ward Secretariat Functionaries Orders Issued.
MUNICIPAL ADMINISTRATION AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT (UBS) DEPARTMENT G.O.Rt.No.25 Dated:13.01.2023 

Read the following:
1. G.O. Rt. No. 650 MA&UD (UBS) Department, dated 03-10-2019. 
2. From the Special Chief Secretary to Government, GVWV &VSWS Department, Lr. Rc. No. 576/F/GSWS/2022, Dated 15.12.2022. 
3. From the CDMA., Mangalagiri, Roc. No.22/4/2023/N-Sec, dated 06.01.2023.

ORDER:
In the reference 1st read above, the Government has issued orders formulating Job chart of Ward Secretaries of MA & UD Department working in Ward Secretariats in Municipalities and Municipal Corporations in the State.

2. The GVWV & VSWS Department in the reference 2nd read above has stated that the Government of Andhra Pradesh NAVARATNALU as the core team of Governance in order to revamp the delivery has introduced the concept of systems of Government services with an aim to improve the living standards of the people. To achieve this objective, the Government of Andhra Pradesh had established 15004 Village and Ward Secretariats. Secretariats are the focal points that translate the Sustainable Development Goals The Village and Ward (SDGs) into local actionable tasks at the gross-root level and Government has provided a framework towards the objective of achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) vide G.O.Ms.No.132, GAD, dated:04.11.2022 and during the review meeting held by the Chief Secretary to Government on 07.12.2022, it has been directed that the Job Charts of all Village and Ward Secretariat functionaries shall be appropriately revised and reoriented towards achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The GWWV and VSWS Department has therefore requested all the line departments to revise their Job Charts of respective functionaries in line with the programmes of the Government and SDGs.

3. In the reference 3rd read above, the Commissioner and Director of Municipal Administration, Mangalgiri after having detailed deliberations with the respective HODS viz., ENC (PH) and DTCP on the existing Job Charts of Ward Functionaries with reference to the SDGs has furnished the revised Job Chart for the Ward Secretariat Functionaries of MA & UD Department working in Ward Secretariats in Municipalities and Municipal Corporations in the State and requested the Government to issue necessary orders in the matter.

I invite kind attention of the Government to the reference 1st cited, wherein orders were issued approving the Job chart of Ward Secretariat Functionaries viz., Ward Administrative Secretary, Ward Amenities Secretary, Ward Planning & Regulation Secretary, Ward Sanitation & Environmental Secretary, Ward Welfare & Development Secretary and Ward Education & Data Processing Secretary pertaining to Municipal Administration Department in the year 2019.

2. Consequently, vide reference 2nd cited, Spl. CS to Government GVWV& VSWS Dept., have requested to "review, revise and incorporate the necessary activities in the Job charts of respective Functionaries in line with the programmes of the Government and Sustainable Development Goals."

3. Accordingly, after due deliberations with the respective HoDs viz., ENC (PH) and DTCP, following is the revised Job Chart proposed for the Ward Secretariat Functionaries pertaining to the MA &UD Department.

Therefore, I request the Government to issue necessary orders in the matter as per the revised Job Chart submitted as above.
